What is a pop-up blocker and why must I disable it at OSS Academy®?

Some websites use a legitimate programming feature to pop-up unwanted advertising to site visitors. In response to this unfortunate use of unwanted pop-up windows, web browsers often default to blocking all pop-ups.

OSS Academy® does not use pop-up advertising; however several learning features require us to use this programming technique. In particular, viewing courses and printing certificates both require pop-ups be allowed. Check with your browser software for instructions on disabling pop-up blockers for OSS Academy®. This action should not affect pop-up on other sites.
